
Microsoft’s (sooner) Launch of Smartphones
Microsoft has decided to continue selling smartphones in the coming years. Though it would be not on a large scale as it used to be earlier. Being world’s largest software company, Microsoft cut off 7,800 jobs only in their smartphone department.
Though the company may have made a big decision, but this important shift is predicted to be pivotal in company’s new and fresh strategy to sell their smartphones. It was very much clear that Microsoft’s smartphones were not able to do well, majorly because Apple’s iPhones and Google’s Android were taking over the market. However, there was still a cult following of Microsoft’s smartphones.
Nokia Lumia, Microsoft’s major smartphone series would be produced every year. However, the production would be reduced in order to implement a new strategy that would help the company to focus on three main elements: business, value and flagship, as said by the company’s CEO. s
