HUT Consulting licenses the Tracknburn FoodData API for non-competitive usage and research purposes. The license does not allow reselling the data or exposing the database for free access via another web site.
What is the Tracknburn FoodData API?
The Tracknburn FoodData API is an http-based web service that utilizes SSL to provide secure communication between our Amazon EC2 servers and your application. Http calls can be made from many of the most popular development languages. The Tracknburn FoodData API allows searching through the TFdb for everything from restaurant foods to non-branded grocery store items. Once a food is located using the search, a subsequent call to the service can be made to retrieve serving and nutrient data.
