4.1 Versions submitted today with the fixes!

OK- so we are very aware of the bugs/errors with the apps in the store.  We are happy to tell you that after more than a week of full time work, we are all set.  In 4.1, we have fixed the following:

  • Custom food creation is fixed
  • Some of you have reported hanging when downloading the new updates- that has been fixed
  • Database maintenance has been looked at again and tweaked to keep your data safe on your device
  • Few minor changes

We know that many of you have support Healthy U for a long time and just want to say thank you for all of your patience and support.

When is 4.1 going to be available on the app and how do u get it

  2. Judy Canon says:

Guys…I am still not able to add custom foods. Restarted app, deleted & reinstalled app. Please help.

Nat, the way updates work with Apple is that the developer (Healthy U) submits the update for review by Apple. They have a queue or a line that we wait in to get the app reviewed. We are in that line now. Depending on how that long that line is will determine when 4.1 is made available. On average- 7 to 10 days is what we see.

As for how you get it, you will be notified on your device with a red/white number in the upper right corner of the App Store icon. When you see this, that means an update is waiting for you to upload. Thanks Nat.

This is an incredibly handy app. Easy to use. Huge food lists! I used to keep track of carbs with an excel spreadsheet. This is way easier.

    2 feature requests to consider:

Add the “Find Foods” menu list to the list of things in “More”, or as a new button up top beside the word My Day? That way we can look up foods from the My Day Home screen without actually logging them into a day’s meal.

Is it possible to copy a food from the Grocery list into Custom Foods to edit the name, serving size or nutrition facts then save it as a favorite?

Great app! Keep up the good work.

  5. Chris says:

why cant i edit the foods i create deleting them and making new ones – when will this get fixed

  6. healthyu says:

Chris, thanks for the question. In this version, you cannot edit created foods. However, since it is very easy to create a new food, you can delete the item and create a new one. Regards.

Thanks Jennifer! We appreciate your support and review on iTunes.

    1) Noted in our list. Great thought.
    2) It is not possible to copy/past at this time. But you don’t need to! All you have to do is find the grocery item and when you go to add it to your meal, there is a button to save that item as a Favorite. The quantity, as you know, can be changed each time you recall the food item. if you want to change the nutritional values, you have to create it from scratch at this time.

    Regards.
